Valdosta man faces drug charges

VALDOSTA — Complaints led to an arrest on drug charges Thursday.
Detectives investigated complaints of narcotics sales at an apartment in the 1100 block of North Oak Street, a Valdosta Police Department statement said.
As a result, a 43-year-old Valdosta man was found to have a federal arrest warrant against him and was taken into custody, the statement said.
Detectives found 52 grams of cocaine along with tools often used in narcotics sales, police said.
The suspect was charged with felony traffficking in cocaine, felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanor possession of drug-related items, in addition to the federal warrant, the police statement said.
