SGMC Health has appointed Elizabeth Flail, DO, as its 2025-2026 chief of staff, as voted on by her peers. Flail, an emergency medicine physician, brings over a decade of service to the Valdosta community. She takes this position following two years as chief of staff elect.
A Valdosta native, Flail shadowed her father, who also served as an emergency medical physician. Over the past decade, she has practiced in the emergency departments at SGMC Health Main and SGMC Health Smith Northview, serving as the co-director of both as well as the health system’s two urgent cares.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Flail step into this vital role,” said Pankaj Agrawal, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at SGMC Health. “Her dedication to quality, safe patient care and her visionary leadership will undoubtedly strengthen our organization and benefit our community.”
Dr. Flail earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Georgia and completed her residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Florida Shands.
