VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Fire Department responded to a structure fire Tuesday evening at 304 Hines St.

Dispatched at 8:35 p.m., the first fire unit arrived within four minutes to find smoke and flames coming from a vacant residence. A total of 18 firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. 

There were no injuries reported, the fire department said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. 

The Valdosta Police Department and SGMC Health EMS assisted with on-scene operations.
