Mark then went on to work for PCA in Valdosta from 1983 to 2000. In 2000, he joined his brother in the family business, Corbett Electrical Construction, as the supervisor of the traffic signal installation division. Mark spent his time with the electrical company overseeing and installing traffic signals across South Georgia and continued to farm a variety of crops as a sixth-generation family farmer. He recently entered into the fruit production industry and now grows a variety of citrus fruit including satsumas, grapefruit, navel oranges, hamlin oranges, and shiranui. Mark retired from Corbett Electrical Construction and now focuses on his citrus operation and enjoys spending his time with his wife, four children, and five grandchildren. He continues to instill the passion for agriculture into the next generation and he looks forward to serving the Alapaha Soil and Water Conservation District.
