Two railroad crossings to close for repairs

VALDOSTA — Norfolk Southern will close the railroad crossings at Troup Street and at Oak Street starting Monday to repair a GEO defect at the crossings, the City of Valdosta announced on Friday. During this time, no traffic will be allowed to cross the tracks.
The repairs are expected to take four to five days. The City of Valdosta encourages drivers to plan alternate routes and appreciates the community’s patience while this essential work is completed.
