VALDOSTA — First Baptist Church Valdosta partnered with the Tim Tebow Foundation on Friday evening to host Night to Shine, a prom night experience celebrating individuals with special needs.
Held at The Rainwater Conference Center, the event provided an unforgettable evening filled with joy, community, and recognition. Night to Shine is a yearly event rooted in faith and inclusion, created to celebrate individuals with special needs. Since it began in 2015, it has grown into a global movement, with churches everywhere coming together to make each guest feel truly special.
Upon arrival, guests walked a red carpet, where they were met with enthusiastic applause from supporters and cheer squads from surrounding schools. This grand entrance set the tone for a night of excitement and celebration.
To enhance the experience, attendees had access to various special services, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining, horse-drawn carriage rides, and limousine rides. Inside the main ballroom, each guest was crowned king or queen and received a tiara or crown in recognition.
The dance floor quickly filled with joyful guests as they explored the many activities available. A 360-degree photo booth was a popular attraction, drawing long lines of eager participants ready to dance on the podium.
Respite rooms were available for guests who needed a quiet space to relax. These rooms provided a calm and comfortable place for attendees to take a break from the excitement.
FBC Valdosta was one of many churches worldwide participating in Night to Shine, and the event’s success was made possible through the dedication of volunteers, generous donors, and the unwavering support of the local community.
