VALDOSTA — Firefighters battled a blaze at a tire store in Valdosta Wednesday.

Fire units headed to the Marquez Tire Shop, 608 West Hill Avenue, at 11:54 a.m. on the report of a structure fire, a Valdosta Fire Department statement said.

Flames and smoke were coming from the side of the building. Fire crews kept the blaze from entering the building and no injuries were reported, the statement said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation; Valdosta police and EMTs assisted on the scene.
