HAHIRA — A team of four, Matt Trickett, Drew DeMersseman, Evelyn Soshnik, and Harrison Griner, swept the competition,
placing first as a team at MATHCOUNTS.

In the head-to-head oral countdown round, Matt Trickett (8th grade) placed second. Drew DeMersseman (7th grade) placed third on the individual test while Matt Trickett placed 7th and Harrison Griner (6th grade) placed twelfth. Other participants in the completion were Solomon Hardy, Ansen Murphy, Owen Stamschror, Annabelle Couch, Tamsyn Persaud, Camille Vandemark, Emma Davis, and Callista Hicks.

Valwood will represent our district on March 24 in Atlanta at the State MATHCOUNTS competition. The Valwood MATHCOUNTS team is coached by Mrs. Courtney Carter.
