Man hit by vehicle, killed after argument

VALDOSTA — One person was killed Saturday after being struck by a vehicle following an argument.
Around 2:45 a.m., officers were sent to Ora Lee West Homes after receiving calls about a domestic dispute resulting in two people being struck by a vehicle, a Valdosta Police Department statement said.
Police gave first aid to victims on the scene; EMTs arrived and took two victims to the hospital. One was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. Their remains have been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
Police did not offer a condition report on the second victim.
The driver of the vehicle was located by police shortly after the incident after he called E911, the statement said. Police did not say whether the driver has been charged yet. The investigation is continuing.
