LVAC seeks nominations for board of directors

VALDOSTA — The Lowndes-Valdosta Arts Commission, Inc., d/b/a the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts, is seeking outstanding community members with a passion for the arts to serve on its Board of Directors. Board members serve a three-year term, with the option of serving an additional three-year term.
The mission of the Turner Center for the Arts is to promote and celebrate the arts as the regional center for cultural enrichment, art education, and entertainment. All board meetings are held at the Turner Center, located at 527 N. Patterson Street.
LVAC Board of Director nominations will be received through March 19, considered at its March Governance and Nominating Committee meeting, and voted on by the current LVAC Board of Directors at its April 25 meeting. New board members will begin their terms on July 1, 2025.
