On March 2, the Honorable Tommy T. Thomas, deputy under secretary of defense for military community and family support, was honored at Bethel AME Church in Hahira. Jonathan Sumner, Hahira city manager, read a proclamation from the city for Thomas’s outstanding military career and civilian services. Thomas was also presented a plaque for his outstanding services and achievements from Bethel AME Church in Hahira.
