The Lowndes County Republican Party recently held its annual convention and elected the following slate of officers for a two-year term

Those elected are: Diane Cox, chairman; Stephanie Coop, first vice-chairman; Cheri Priest, second vice-chairman; Steve Walsh, treasurer; and Mary Gebbia, secretary.

The party meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Austin’s Cattle Co. Banquet Room, with a meet and greet at 6 p.m.m followed by the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The next meeting of the Lowndes County Republican Party on April 15 will feature Field Searcy and Sam Carnline, founders of Georgians for Truth. They will speak about the need to remove Dominion voting machines in Georgia and return to hand-marked paper ballots.
