- Georgia Christian Senior Jett Guilliams pulls into third base.
VALDOSTA – Winning is always sweet, but winning with a season-high offensive explosion is even sweeter, just ask the Georgia Christian Generals.
On Monday afternoon, the Generals continued their impressive campaign with a resounding 19-2 road victory over the Community Christian Academy Eagles. The blowout marked the 11th time this season Georgia Christian has defeated an opponent by more than six runs, and their sixth consecutive road win.
Pitcher Jett Guilliams once again proved why he’s one of the team’s most dependable weapons. The senior standout tossed four dominant innings, striking out seven and allowing just two hits with no earned runs. Remarkably, Guilliams has now gone five straight appearances without surrendering an earned run.
But Guilliams wasn’t just dealing from the mound, he was everywhere. He reached base in all five of his plate appearances, scored a career-high four runs, and swiped a base for good measure.
Colton Hall also had a standout night at the plate, going 3-for-3 with four runs scored and two stolen bases. He was a perfect 5-for-5 in reaching base, notching his highest hit total since March.
Hayden Coats added to the offensive barrage, going 3-for-5 with three runs and a stolen base to help power the Generals to their highest run total of the season.
The win pushes Georgia Christian’s overall record to 14-1 and highlights the team’s complete dominance on the road. Throughout their six-game road win streak, the Generals are allowing just 0.8 runs per game.
With the postseason looming, Georgia Christian’s blend of hot bats, elite pitching, and road warrior mentality continues to make them a force to be reckoned with.
