VALDOSTA — Big Lots proclaims on its website that “The Comeback Starts Now!”
Months after the closing of its stores, the discount retailer has reopened nine locations in six states.
Fifty-four more — including the Valdosta store — will reopen Thursday, and 78 more will reopen May 15.
“We’re excited to bring an additional 132 Big Lots! locations back to life in May,” said Lisa Seigies, president and CEO of Variety Wholesalers, the new owners of Big Lots!.
“The customer response to the newly expanded assortment of fresh inventory and great deals has been overwhelmingly positive,” Seigies said. “The Big Lots! stores opening in May show our continued commitment to providing the best value to our customers with apparel for the family, everyday needs for the home, kitchen, and pantry plus a huge selection of famous brands. I couldn’t be prouder of the dedicated team who made it possible for us to serve these communities again!”
The Valdosta store will reopen at 110 E. Northside Drive.
Other Georgia stores to reopen include Augusta, Brunswick, Buford, Cornelia, Dallas, Fort Oglethorpe, Marietta, Smyrna, Vidalia and Waycross. Details on store locations — including when the closed stores will reopen — can be found at biglots.com. Click the link to Find A Store.
