People didn’t listen to Trump when electing him

The people of this country decided that it was a good idea to vote a racist man to the highest office in the land and now are suffering from buyer’s remorse are looking for the Black folks in this country to stand and protest what their chosen candidate is doing now that he is in the seat of power.
The fact is, we told you what he was going to do if he was elected again. He told the country himself, during the debates with Vice President Kamala Harris. The man said he would be a dictator from day one. Now, some are pretending that they did not think he was serious, “Oh, that’s just Trump,” he is just doing what he does. He always makes statements like that, but he doesn’t mean it.
Some of us knew that this man was 100% for real. We have seen this before. The fact is, the world has seen pseudo-dictators in other countries, but didn’t think it could ever happen in America. Throughout history, white men who were put in power then became obsessed with that power and decided that they were the only ones who needed to ever be in the seat of power. They became dictators long before they were elected. In their minds, they have decided no one can do the job as well as they can, and they want to, need to sit in that seat of power, and no one can remove them from the seat of power.
In countries outside of the United States, we have seen this occur, but most of us never believed this could be an issue inside this “wonderful country.” The fact is, old white men have power issues. Giving power to a man who has never had any consequences for any of his bad or even illegal behavior, believes he is above the law. He sees no boundaries and believes he cannot be chastised or corrected; he thinks that he is “king” of America.
The Constitution means nothing to him; he probably has no idea what is written in it. It is unfortunate and dangerous that he was elected because of fear and hate. So many people were afraid of a Black woman being president that they voted for an unqualified bigot to run this country. Prejudice and fear have been the fuel that runs the United States for hundreds of years, and there is no end in sight. As long as we live inside the poison that runs through the veins inside the borders of these United States, there will be nothing good or positive that will ever last here inside these borders.
When Barack Obama was elected President, some said we were in a post-racial state in America, but as a Black woman, I can say that this will never happen as long as the so-called Gen X folks are alive. We are the integration generation, the first generation that was inside the experiment of integration.
We were thrown into an environment that was completely foreign to both
the Black and white kids. Heck, they only knew us from the maids and drivers that worked for them, and we only knew them from the constant work our parents had to do inside their homes. We were like they had landed on our planet and they felt we invaded their world intent on taking over…but that was never a thing for us, our parents and had instructed us not to embarrass them in front of the good white folks.
Now, in, April 2025, the so-called commander in chief is attempting to
turn back time.
The thing is, we are not our grandparents or even our parents. We are never, ever going back Get ready for what is coming, because this “ain’t your MaMa’s rodeo.” We have tried to tell you so many things, but racism is the road you have chosen. Trust and believe that ain’t what you want, it ain’t what you want. Trust me.
