Get a taste of Valdosta Saturday

VALDOSTA — Area residents can get a taste of this and that Saturday at the James H. Rainwater Conference Center during the 14th Annual Taste of Valdosta, hosted by Quota International of Valdosta Inc.

People can visit the Taste of Valdosta between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for lunch or stop by from 5-9 p.m. for dinner and try samples from various Valdosta eateries. Among the participating restaurants and catering services are Atlanta Bread Company, Beef O’Brady’s, Red Lobster, Barberitos, the James H. Rainwater Conference Center and many more.

Admission for the event is $5. Food tokens can be purchased for 50 cents each and used to purchase samples of food items at the event. Some items will cost a single token and some will cost three or four or maybe more tokens as it varies by vendor and item selected.

Proceeds from the Taste of Valdosta will benefit Break Bread Together, the Methodist Home for Children and Partnership Health Center.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from Guardian Bank on Norman Drive.
