The SHS Bulldog softball team took first place in District 3-4A after defeating district leader Baker County 4-3 March 13. In another dramatic game
the Ladies scored four runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to win.
Baker scored three runs in the 5th.
Sophomore Emily Ross hit a two run double to secure the win. Dale Townsend
gave up only three hits in the 5th inning for the win to improve to 10-1.
The Ladies improve 11-1.
The Lady ‘Dogs will play Baker again at Baker today at 6 p.m.
Lady ‘Dogs defeat Ft. White
The team also defeated the Ft. White Indians March 12, 11-1 in five innings. Dale Townsend threw a no-hitter while striking out six. Townsend led the team offensively going two for two with two walks and one run scored with
three RBIs. Sophomore Jamie Summers collected two hits in three at bat.
