Do middle-school and teenage girls have an aversion to shirts with sleeves? Everywhere I go I see young women wearing spaghetti-strap tanks with nothing over them. It is inappropriate.
It would be nice if the schools in the Lowndes County school system would keep their Web sites current. Check out the outdated pictures and teacher pages.
It doesn’t matter how much you have, but how you treated people when you meet the maker.
No homestead exemption this year, Merry Christmas Georgia. My taxes are $1,200 this year. For most of us, that’s our Christmas budget for an entire family.
Many thanks to the kind lady at Hobby Lobby Tuesday afternoon, who showed me and my friend how to crochet in the middle of the aisle. How fast you worked that hook and yarn. When are you going to offer classes? Your talents extend beyond your craft: You were spiritually insightful. God bless.
When I was in high school, I moved to a town that had year-round school. There were three tracks, A, B and C. Each track would go to school for four months, and then be off for two months. Every two months a new track would start and another track would leave on their vacation. Teachers also followed this system, unless they wanted to do more tracks. Students loved it as well as the staff.
Living in the past and blaming others for the situation you’re/we’re in does nothing but stir resentment. Help solve problems and move forward.
Tonight is the last VHS Wildcat home football game for the season and wouldn’t it be nice if we had a large crowd to cheer on our football team and Coach Tomberlin. Come on all you Wildcat fans, let’s push for the playoffs. Good luck Wildcats.
Congratulations to the VHS Marchin’ Cats on your Battle on the Border grand championship and other awards. What a great show. Kudos to all band directors, staff, parents and others who help make the band successful every year. These kids put in many hours of practice and hard work and deserve some recognition.
Thanks to Colquitt EMC, particularly Becky who was able to straighten out an error in a monthly bill in about five minutes. It was greatly appreciated. Thank you!
