Tyler Chambliss picks up 10th save of the year

Tyler Chambliss is having a heck of a year as FSU’s star closer. Chambliss picked up his 10th save of the season Saturday, April 9 against Wake Forest. Chambliss came into the game in the ninth inning and sent the Demon Deacons down in order. He picked up two saves against Wake Forest by facing just six batters and striking out five of them. With this 10th save, Chambliss is eight saves away from the FSU single season record. he is the first ACC pitcher to reach double digits this season.

“My goals are not only to lead the ACC but to lead the nation,” Chambliss said. “I don’t know where other pitchers stand but I want to be the best at my position just like all the other guys out here do.”
