ATLANTA —  The Georgia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to unveil a new look.  The new logo, designed by marketing and advertising firm three, is being transitioned into use this month.

“Our organization has experienced a lot of positive change over the past few years and it was time for our look to catch up with us,” said Board Chair Suzanne Sitherwood, President, Atlanta Gas Light.  “Today’s Georgia Chamber is more proactive, has a stronger focus on policy and overall is more effective on behalf of our members throughout the state.”

The new logo’s arch evokes the State Capitol, while the stars represent the five cities that have been the official site of state government – Savannah, Augusta, Louisville, Milledgeville and Atlanta.  The stars also represent the statewide nature of the organization as symbols of Georgia’s five geographic regions.

The green color symbolizes growth, and was kept constant from the previous logo, and the gold symbolizes prosperity.

“It was important to us that our new logo was an accurate representation of who we are as an organization,” added George Israel, president and CEO.  “We couldn’t be more pleased that we now have something that reminds us of our past history, present success and future aspirations.”
