Capt. Wanda Edwards of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office said these young men are from good areas.

“They aren’t kids who don’t have anything,” Edwards said. “They come from good families and just wanted to have something to do.”

Edwards also added that neighbors need to look out for neighbors no matter where you live.

The latest suspect arrested in this spree of thefts was earlier this month. Edwards said that all the young men were connected.

After the first arrest was made, the others soon followed.

The official investigation continues. More arrests are expected to be made. Some of the stolen property has been recovered.

Anyone with information concerning these thefts is asked to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff is also requesting that residents lock their vehicles and homes.
