Wasting money
“With the massive deficits Bush has racked up during his tenure, why is he wasting taxpayers’ money by using a single jet to talk to troops and make a speech? That was nothing but an expensive campaign stop due to his drop in the polls.”
Cheated students
“Recently our school has held a schoolwide competition. The winner was rewarded with a movie day. Instead it turned out to be only two 55-minute classes, one being our exploratory. Also, the whole school was given the reward instead of just the winning grade. When we tried to protest, the two representatives were told it was inappropriate and told to leave. Our school is falling behind on student, teacher, and administrator relationships!”
Thanks to vet
“To the person that sent the Rant wanting to know what has been going on for the past three months while he was gone overseas: Thank you for protecting us! Thank all of you from Moody Air Force Base who were overseas!”
Raise VSU rent
“Thumbs Down to VSU for posturing for 10 years on how bad Cleveland Field is and when it comes time to show us the money they don’t have any. They said all along if we would give them title to the property they could raise the funds through alumni without state funding. It’s time to raise the rent.”
Sad but true
“It is so sad to know that some people in South Georgia do not share Mark Twain’s remark: ‘Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow mindedness, and many of our people need it solely on these accounts.'”
Stop complaining
“You people who are complaining about the gas prices should live near Chicago where they are even higher. Most of you complaining are the ones who complained about rising cigarette prices, yet you still smoke.”
Teach respect
“I raised three wonderful kids with the help of my spouse. Do not continue to make excuses when your child misbehaves. Do as I did, take them outside, have a talk, spank if necessary. My three are now grown, thank me for my efforts, and yes, from age 2 until today, they can sit and be quiet and still, whether it be a movie, church, or restaurant. Parents, stop making excuses and raise your child as it should be raised, which is respect for others, manners, and self esteem.”
Cheaper gas
“The last time I looked, Atlanta is already a metropolitan city, has several major interstates running through it, and has many, many tourist attractions, but its gas prices are lower.”
Voter response
“I wonder how smart all you Rebel flag supporters feel about voting for good old Sonny now. It turns out that you guys simply voted for a fatter, more dishonest version of Roy. Serves you right for voting a person into office over a issue as stupid as that.”
Keep them home
“Here’s an idea — if your children are so unruly, why don’t you leave them with a babysitter? I bet you are the type of people that bring those screaming brats into quiet theaters as well.”
