You do not have to obtain a PhD to get a principal’s position. However, LCS is not a private school system and the superintendent does not own it. The policy states that everyone is supposed to be given an equal opportunity to apply for an open position. It does not say anywhere that the superintendent has the right to hand pick certain individuals for these jobs. Particularly the higher paying ones.

Since when did it become okay to place campaign signs on personal property without permission? Or on church property? Someone needs to tell the candidates the rules.

To the person who said “Military doesn’t abide by civilian rules”  you’re wrong! We obey the civilian laws at home as well as overseas and also are governed by the UCMJ. Yes the CINC is the boss, even if you didn’t vote for him.

 The city government needs to be more transparent and accountable to the citizens. They have yet to release statements regarding the biomass plant. A citizen questioned them six weeks ago at the council meeting and they have yet to respond.

 Glenn Beck is a Mormon in Christian clothing! I am insulted that such a cult follower would portray himself as a member of the Christian faith. Too many people just believe him, as if he’s a prophet, when he is just a dangerous entertainer.

The reason the government won’t do anything about illegal immigrants is the same reason they won’t prosecute the black panthers for voter intimidation, it may cost them votes come election time.

To the person that thinks the Tea Party’s dreams of a decentralized government will force the U.S. to no longer compete in the global market, do you actually believe we’re competitive now? You sound like the people that sold us NAFTA; look where that got us!

For the girl who unselfishly helped me Monday morning when I ran out of gas by the bridge. Thank you and your children so much for your kind act of kindness. There are  still good people in the world. A big rave to her.

What a lovely picture of the little girl feeding the geese in the paper. It reminds me of how blessed we are to live in the old USA. We are still free.

Yes Obama could do something right- defend our borders, cut spending, or lower taxes to promote growth. That would make him a conservative, and the Tea partiers would have voted for him to begin with.
