For those who wish to dine out for the Thanksgiving holiday or continue shopping for Christmas gifts, some area restaurants and retail stores will be open Thursday, Nov. 25.

While many restaurants will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, some will remain open for 24 hours, or their regular operating hours, while others have special holiday times.

For those who wish to spend the holiday shopping for others, or even themselves, they can visit the few retail stores that will remain open.

For those who have no place to go and wish to enjoy a hot cooked Thanksgiving day meal or barbecue dinner, they can visit St. John A.M.E. Church, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Sam’s Carry Out BBQ, from noon to 2 p.m. Both events to feed the needy are free and open to the public.
