Louise M. Chandler, age 91, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Fla. The Charleston, West Virginia native moved to Live Oak in 1941 from Melbourne, Fla. She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Live Oak.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dan Chandler, who passed away on July 27, 2004.

Survivors include three sons, Daniel (Dana) Chandler, David (Cheryle) Chandler, and Michael Chandler, all of Live Oak, Fla.  Seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Shirley Mergan officiating. Interment will follow in the Live Oak cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 Highway 90 West, Lake City, FL. 32055

Edna G. Ford

Mrs. Edna G. Ford a native of Live Oak, Fla., passed away, Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Shands of Lake Shore Medical Center, after an extended illness. She was a member of African Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Old Douglas High School graduating class of 1961.

She is survived by a loving husband, Walter Ford; four daughters, Wanda R. Ford, Karen Y. Thomas (Trevor), Sonia L. Speights (Charles), and Selina Z Jones (Lawrence); one son, Koslo C. Ford Sr. and one adoptive daughter Elizabeth Washington; twenty grandchildren and two great grands; three devoted sisters, Louise Philpot (Edwin), Dorothy Scott (Willie J.), and Ozie Demps; three adoring brothers, Willie J. Garner Sr., Alfonso G. Cannon (Florence), and Kenneth Paul Williams (Kimberly); two aunts, Annie M. Turner and Earcey McGhee; one uncle, Rev. Lee Ford Sr.; four sisters-in-law, Grace F. Jenkins, Joyce McIntyre (Leslie), Dianna Ford and Janis Ford; three brothers-in-law, Henry Weatherspoon, Jerome Ford and Timothy Ford Sr. (Hazel); three dear nieces, Minister Blanquita  Williams, CaSonia Williams and great niece LaTavia Hopkins; and one special nephew, Ozar Scott. A host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. at African Missionary Baptist Church, 502 SW Walker Ave. Live Oak, Fla.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at African Missionary Baptist Church. Professional mortuary services entrusted to Eric A. Brown and Son Funeral Home, 1221 S.W. 3rd Street, Jasper, Fla.
