Troy William Harsey, 86, of Nashville died Thursday June 16, 2011 at his residence.
He was born June 8, 1925 in Berrien County to the late E.O. Harsey and the late Carrie Clark. He retired from Civil Service at Moody AFB as a jet engine mechanic. He also had a love for photography and for many years operated Troy’s Photography. He was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. He was a mason for over 50 years and WW II veteran Army Air Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Hudson Harsey who died in 2008, two sisters: Lillie Mae Edenfield and Blondine Alexander; brother: Edward Harsey.
He is survived by three daughters, Belinda Hendley of Valdosta, Marcia (Kenny) Hughes of Nashville, and Mary (Richard) Surrency of Nashville; son: Stanley (Vicki) Harsey of Alapaha; seven grandchildren, William Timothy, Michael, Whitney, Christi, James, and Marc; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Bryanna, and McKenzie; two sisters, Mamie Lee Williams of Enigma and Margie Smith of Alapaha.
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Luke and the Rev. Don Bowick officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery with full Masonic Rites. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m.— Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
