Harry Joseph Stanavich Sr.

Harry Joseph Stanavich Sr. age 60, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. The Annapolis, Maryland native moved to Live Oak 12 years ago from Chicago. He worked as a concrete construction supervisor. Harry was a member of the King David Lodge #68 F&AM in Pasadena, Maryland. He loved the Beatles and playing music especially the bass guitar, piano and violin and also had a great love for animals. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church of Live Oak.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky Stanavich, Live Oak, Fla.; three sons, Dennis Walker, Live Oak, Fla.; Joey Stanachich and Jeffrey Stanavich both of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Melissa Stanavich, Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Billy Reed, Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Alice Elliott, Baltimore, Md. and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. David McKeithen officiating.

Edward Oliver Baird Jr.

Edward Oliver Baird Jr. age 80, of Live Oak, Florida passed away early Monday morning, June 6, 2011 at Suwannee Health Care Center. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. native moved to Live Oak 13 years ago from Stuart, Fla. Edward served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and was honorably discharged as an EN2. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years before retiring. He loved being on the water, especially fishing and boating and also enjoyed collecting antique outboard motors and fishing equipment. He was a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club Inc., the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and also a member of the Westwood Baptist Church of Live Oak.
Survivors include his wife, Carol W. Baird, Live Oak, Fla.; one son, Bruce (Kathy) Baird, Live Oak, Fla.; one daughter, Frances Rodgers, Apopka, Fla.; one granddaughter, Kelly Jenkins and one great grandson, Matthew Jenkins, both of Live Oak.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 1 to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 in the Westwood Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Deas officiating. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery.

Mrs. Louise H. Hall

Mrs. Louise H. Hall, slipped quietly away on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at her home; the Sun Rays of her beautiful life came to a close.
At an early age, she recognized the value of the Eternal Master and united with Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Live Oak, Florida. She became affiliated with many organizations and served in numerous leadership roles; President of Missionary Society and A.C.E. League, Sunday School Secretary and Teacher; Secretary of Choir No. 2; Stewardess and member of the Stewardess Board and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Lodge #83.
Her professional affiliations included: Inter-racial Committee Advisor; Suwannee County Recreation Board members, Reading Council and Student Counsel Advisor; Local, State and National Teachers and Retired Teachers Associations. Ms. Hall taught reading in the Suwannee County Public School System for thirty-one (31) years, and was also the first black female licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in Suwannee County.
She was married to Charles T. Hall on October 10, 1954. To that union, no children were born. She is survived by her step-son, Charles T. Hall Jr.; two sisters; Arelius Tomlinson and Doris Ervin; a number of nieces, nephews; many other relatives and devoted friends.
Funeral services will be rendered by Charles T. Funeral Home, visitation by family and friends will be held on Friday, June 10, from 6-8 p.m. at the Charles T. Hall Funeral Home located at 620 SW Houston Avenue with funeral services to follow on Saturday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church, located in Live Oak, Florida.
Mary Edith Pararo
September 21, 1924 – June 4, 2011
Mary Edith Pararo, 86, passed away Saturday June 4, 2011 in Shands at UF, Gainesville, Florida following a short illness. Mrs. Pararo was born in Branford and moved to the O’Brien area in 1977 from Lake City, Fla. She was a homemaker and member of the Suwannee River Assembly of God of Branford, Fla., She is predeceased by her husband, Oliver Pararo Sr., and son, Oliver Pararo Jr. Survivors include, one daughter, Mary Ellen Pararo of O’Brien, Fla., Four Grandchildren, Charlene Crews Greer, Becky Walker Lawson, Marcia Murray DI Mauro, Lance C. Pararo and five great grandchildren also survive. Graveside services will be conducted at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bo hammock officiating. Daniels Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., Branford, Fla. in charge of arrangements.
