Otto Lynn Kolberg

Otto Lynn Kolberg, 55, of Valdosta, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 after an automobile accident. He was born November 4, 1955, in Valdosta, Ga. to the late Patricia M. Pennington and Otto G. Kolberg of Ft. Myers, Fla. He is preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Cynthia Watson.

Mr. Kolberg was employed by Pioneer Resources. He loved NASCAR racing, was a HUGE Florida State fan and had a great passion for the trains that he worked on daily.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Adams of Valdosta, a son and daughter -in- law, Otto Lance Kolberg and Jade Mead, a step-son, John Robert Roland, and a step-daughter, Paula Henderson. Four grandchildren, Blade Kolberg, Kolbey Kolberg, Skyler Kolberg and Alexis Henderson. Three brothers and sisters- in- law, Perry and Kathy Kolberg of Valdosta, Charles and Darlene Love of Lanier Co., David and Dawn Kolberg of Oconomowoc, Wi., and a sister, Connie Kolberg.  Several nieces and nephews, and special family friends, Jessica and Chris Price, Brittany and Brad Conners and mother- in -law, Myrtle Powell of Crawfordville, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Dr. Clyde Stokes officiating. As per Mr. Kolbergs wishes, he will be cremated following the services. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
