SGMC Health electrodiagnostic lab earns reaccreditation

VALDOSTA — SGMC Neurology and Neurosciences has again earned the highest designation of electrodiagnostic laboratory accreditation from the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine: Laboratory Accreditation with Exemplary Status.
EDX Laboratory Accreditation with Exemplary Status recognizes facilities that demonstrate adherence to AANEM’s standards for quality, integrity and clinical operations, the health system said in a recent press release.
“Continuing to achieving AANEM’s Laboratory Accreditation with Exemplary Status is a tremendous honor and a testament to our team’s dedication to delivering the highest standards of care in neurology,” said Hernan Posas, MD, a neurologist at SGMC Health. “This designation underscores our continued commitment to quality and ensures that our patients benefit from reliable, accurate diagnostic testing in a supportive clinical environment.”

Since 2011, AANEM has accredited hundreds of primary and satellite EDX laboratories across the country, evaluating each based on its adherence to professional standards for providing quality care in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine.
