Lillian Hagan

Lillian Hagan, 72, of Branford, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005. Survivors include, Barbara Gail Vavrina, Melinda Sue Rawls, Michael Irwin Hagan, Anara Anderson. Sue Hygema and Frank Kerce.

The Rev. Charles W. Lyons

The Rev. Charles W. Lyons, 73, of Mayo, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 in his home after a long illness. The Lafayette County native was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Brewer Lake Baptist Church, Day. He was pastor at Athena Baptist Church for two years in Perry.

Survivors include one son, William Dean Lyons of Mayo; one daughter, Tamyra Lyons of Mayo; one sister, Virlin Bradford of Clearwater; one half-sister; two brothers, the Rev. Eldridge Lyons of Valdosta, Ga. and Bobby Lyons of Fort Myers; five half-brothers; five grandchildren, Travis, Neila, Brett, Shandy and Brian; and four great-grandchildren, Katilyn, Kiley, Kristen and Leila.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Riverside Baptist Church, Mayo with the Rev. John Bracken, the Rev. Eldridge Lyons and the Rev. Hugh Dampier officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Myrtice B. Landrum Dampier

Myrtice B. Landrum Dampier, 85, of Cross City, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 in Cross City from natural causes. Born in Perry she moved to Alachua from Immokalee in 1986. She also lived in Fort Myers for 24 years. Dampier was a homemaker and owner of Everglades Fish Camp until 1973.

Survivors include sons, Lester “Dick” Landrum Jr. of Fort Myers, E. Wade Landrum of Old Town and James Landrum of Everglades City; step-son, Wenton Dampier of Alachua; step-daughters, Mary Evonne Bass of Lacrosse and Thelma Dampier of Melrose; sisters, Evilee Dawson of Windsor and Evangeline Bell of Day; six grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Milam Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge of all arrangements.
