Joyce Marie Bradley

VALDOSTA — Joyce Marie Bradley died Sept. 9, 2005. She was born in Howell on Jan. 19, 1954, to the late Samuel and Evelina Bradley. She was married to the late Leroy Davis. She worked at Levi’s for 17 years and she lived in Ft. Meyers for the last 14 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Davis, mother Evelina Bradley, father, Samuel Bradley; two sisters, Shirley Bradley, Ossie Bradley, one brother, Walter Bradley.

She leaves to mourn her sisters Wanda Sue Rhymn (Wallace) of Ft. Meyers, Fla., Annie Joyce White (Bernard) of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Elder Johnny E. Bradley (Annie) of Valdosta, Willie James Bradley (Linda) of Ft. Meyers, Ulysses Bradley (Trina) of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; a very special niece whom she raised from infancy as her daughter (Baby), Joyce; she was also very instrumental in the life of Kimberly Wimberly; her personal caretaker Aundrea; two aunts, Bernice Lee and Lula Woodruff; two uncles Adam Roe and Hosea Woodruff; sister-in-law, Bessie Williams, Evelyn Harrell, Earnestine Todd, Vegaree Williams Elma Jean Robinson, Catherine Richardson, Velma Jones, brothers-in-law, A.J. Davis, Lewis Davis,; stepmother Becky Bradley; a very special friend Dianah Johnson (Chubby), Reenae, Brittle, Vickie Carolyn; and a host of friends and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tabernacle God In Church Elder Johnny Bradley is the Pastor and Elder Alonzo Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Howell Cemetery in Howell. — Harrington Funeral Home.



David Burch

HOMERVILLE — Mr. David Burch, 55, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at South Georgia Medical Center.

A native of Coffee County, he had lived in Clinch County most his life. He attended the Lighthouse Assembly of God and worked with Little Suwannee Lumber Company. He is the son of Mrs. Dreanice Youngblood Burch and the late Mr. Daniel Burch.

Survivors other than his mother are his wife, Odell (Candy) Burch, of Homerville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Linda Burch, of Fargo, and Mark and Angie Burch, of Millwood; one sister, Lorlaine Burch, of Homerville; one brother, Jerry Burch, of Homerville; four granddaughters, Candice, Kayla, Gracee, and Allie Burch; five grandsons, McKenzie, Peyton, Buddy, Mathew, and Issac Burch.

Services for Mr. Burch will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at 2 p.m. from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be held in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Burch will be carried to his residence today and friends will be received starting at 6 p.m.– Roundtree Funeral Home, Homerville.



Ora (Brady) Murray

LAKELAND– Ora (Brady) Murray’ 79, of Lakeland, passed away early Thursday morning, Sept. 15, 2005, in Louis Smith Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Lanier County on April 22, 1926, to the late Horace and Mattie Murray. Mrs. Murray had a love of cooking and working in her flower garden. She was employed as a nurse at South Georgia Medical Center, formerly known as Pineview Hospital, in Valdosta for 17 years and at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital for 16 years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nettie Mae Towle, and brothers Buck Murray, Dana Murray, Gilbert Murray, Haley Murray, Hayes Murray, Howard Murray and Moye Murray.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mattie Ann and Everett Burnsed, Lakeland; two granddaughters, Stephanie Ann and Robert Roger of Loganville, Katherine Annette Burnsed of Greensboro, N.C.; two great-granddaughters, Hannah Marie Rogers and Abigail Katherine Rogers, both of Loganville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, in the Lakeland chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Burnt Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Sandra Rowe

VALDOSTA — Sandra Rowe, 60, of Valdosta, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at South Georgia Medical Center.

She was born on Aug. 23, 1945, in Berrien County to Inez Lindsey Studivant and the late George Studivant. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony Rowe, Valdosta, Brian Rowe, Blackshear; two grandchildren; mother, Inez Studivant, Ocilla; two sisters, Lucy Barnes, Enigma, Maudine Young, Ocilla; and one brother, Earl Studivant of Callahan, Fla.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, in Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. this evening. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.



Danyale Kaone Thomas (Ron)

CECIL– Danyale Kaone Thomas (Ron), 16, of Cecil was the youngest son of Freddie Lewis Thomas and Marcia Laquita Thomas of Hahira and Cecil and was born on Oct. 14, 1988, in Lowndes County at Smith Hospital. He departed this life Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.

Ron attended Cook County High School where he was a sophomore. Ron was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, Hahira, under the leadership of Pastor Luther B. Robinson.

In addition to Ron’s loving parents, he leaves to remember his life his son, Jamareon Rashode Jones; his sister, Servita Cooley of Valdosta, Ashley Nicole Jones and husband Calvin of Adel; his brother, Freddie Lewis Thomas, Jr. of Fort Bragg, N.C.; his nephew, Xavier Moore of Valdosta; his niece, Aisjah Ahlexi Marcia Jones of Adel; grandparents, Purvis Thomas Sr., Adel, Marjorie NeSmith, Cecil; his aunts, Verolyn and Bobby Freeman of Adel, Marsha and Clenzy Miller of Cecil, Ann Pullins of Atlanta, Patsy and Willie Miller of Morven; his uncles, William and Lorraine Mapps of Adel, Purvis and Rose Thomas of Adel, James and Donte’ Thomas of Cecil, Ronnie NeSmith of Atlanta, Donnie and Juanita, Phoenix, Ariz. There are other special people who loved and appreciated Ron’s life; they are: Gwendolyn Frierson of Valdosta; best friend, James Washington of Adel, Jamesha Allen of Sparks.

Time nor space will allow the family to recognize by name all persons who contributed greatly to Ron’s life here on earth. His parents and siblings want each of you to know you were important to Ron and his entire family. – Mrs. “Visa” Smith O’Quinn, 87, of Adel died Sept. 12, 2005, at her residence after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Massee Baptist Church with the Rev. – Mrs. Addie Baker West, 66, of 217 Wisenbaker Lane, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Beulah Temple Apostolic Church. Dr. James Miller is pastor, and Pastor Wilma J. Bussey officiating.
