Billy Ray Roberts

Billy Ray Roberts, 74, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 after a long illness. He was a life long resident of Suwannee County and served in the United States Army. Mr. Roberts retired as a route salesman after twenty-three years for Flowers Bread Company, Live Oak, Fla. and he also worked for the State of Florida as an officer for eleven years. He was a member of the Haywood Masonic Lodge in Falmouth and a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife Glenda Roberts of Live Oak, Fla., daughter Robin (Ronnie) Lamm, Live Oak, Fla., two sons, Jeff (Jackie) Roberts, Live Oak, Fla., Mike (Jenni) Roberts, Live Oak, Fla., two sisters, Melissa (Cleatos) McCook, Live Oak, Fla., Milbre Bellflower, Live Oak, Fla., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were held at Daniels Memorial Chapel on Monday Nov. 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Toby Martin officiating. Internment followed in the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.

Amy A. King

Amy A. King, 74, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 after a short illness. The New York native moved to Live Oak in 1989 from Ishpeming, MI, graduated from Ishpeming High School in Ishpeming in 1986 and was a member of Rocky Sink Baptist Church in Live Oak. She loved knitting and fishing for northern pike. Mrs. King is survived by her five daughters: Theresa Berggren, Itaaca, NY, Jacki Hughens, Live Oak, Fla., Julie Sorrell, Ithaca, NY, Valerie Carney, Lakewood Terrace, CA, Nora King, Brooklyn, NY; four sons: Daniel Hughens, Live Oak, Fla., James Hughens, Live Oak, Fla., Steve King, Ithaca, NY, Kevin King, Brooklyn, NY; three sisters: Isabell Chauncey, Live Oak, Fla., Clara Engelhard, Live Oak, Fla., Shelia Young, Live Oak, Fla.; four brothers: Chester Young, Live Oak, Fla., Lee Young, Live Oak, Fla., Lester “Bud” Young, Live Oak, Fla., David Young, Raliegh, NC; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10th at Rocky Sink Baptist Church .

Richard Eugene Slater

Richard Eugene Slater, 75, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 after a long illness. The Zanesville, Oh. native moved to Live Oak thirty plus years ago form Orange Springs, Fla. and was of Presbyterian faith. He was a Veteran of Peacetime while serving in the Army, enjoyed racing and homing pigeons. He also liked the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Mr. Slater is survived by his wife: Gloria Slater, Live Oak, Fla.; two daughters: Vicki (Michael) Fugate, Newport Richey, Fla., Sherry Harrison, New Port Richey, Fla.; one son: Michael (Vivienne) Slater, Clearwater, Fla.; one sister: Eileen (Don) Sgontz, Dayton, Oh.; one brother: Ronald Slater, Columbus, Oh.; seven grandchildren: Joshua Harrison, Jacob Harrison, Brandon Fugate, Dylan Fugate, Bradley Burke, Amira Slater and Brianna Slater. A memorial service will be set at a later date.

Estelle Aderholt Bush

Estelle Aderholt Bush, 93, of Branford, Fla. passed away on Friday Nov. 2, 2012. The Millville, Fla. native was a resident of Branford for many years and was a devoted homemaker. Estelle is survived by her step-daughter: Byrdine Miller, Jacksonville, Fla.; one son: Fred D. Aderholt, Jr., Branford, Fla.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Henry E. Aderholt and one great grandchild. Services were held, Monday, Nov. 5th at Daniels Memorial Chapel in Branford Fla. with Mr. Bob Fletcher officiating. Interment followed at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Donald Ray Boatright, 72, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 long illness. The life long resident of Live Oak served in the National Guard ,worked for the US Postal Service in Live Oak for thirty-five years and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Mr. Boatright is survived by his wife of 19 years Sandi Boatright, Live Oak, Fla.; three children: Mark (Kathy) McCullers, Live Oak, FL, Amy (Brad) Lewis, Tallahassee, Fla, Terri Lynne Runnels, Gainesville, Fla; step-daughter: Michelle (Jason) Thomas, Lake City, Fla.; step-son: Jeremy (Tami) West, Mayo, Fla.; sister in law: Bonnie Boatright, Jensen Beach, Fla.; brother: Arthur Wendell ( Doris) Boatright, Live Oak, Fla.; two grandchildren: Lincoln Lewis, Dakota Runnels; seven step-grandchildren: Mackenzie West, Weston Thomas, Brandon Stratton, Kimberly Yingling, Katelyn Gamble, Travis Best and Miranda Anderson. He was preceded in death by his father: Arthur W. “Doc” Boatright, mother, Helen Clarice Holmes Boatright and brother, Marlyn Boatright. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Leroy Dobbs and Rev. Joshua Wynn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Haven Hospice 6037 West US Hwy 90 Lake City, Fla. 32055 or Philadelphia Baptist Church 15824 169th Road McAlpin, Fla. 32062.
