Valdosta State’s softball doubleheader against Alabama-Huntsville was canceled due to rain on Sunday.

Battling for first place in the Gulf South Conference, the two teams had moved Sunday’s first pitch from 1 p.m. to 10 a.m. After delaying the start for an hour, the two schools were eventually forced to cancel the game, with no make-up date scheduled.

Valdosta State returns to action next Saturday at 1 p.m., when it travels to Carrollton to play West Georgia in a GSC doubleheader.
