At 9:24 p.m. Thursday, Timothy Leon Brown, 502 Mystic St., was charged with terroristic threats (threat to burn) and harassing communication, according to a police report. While responding to the victim’s house, a police officer heard Brown threaten to burn the victim’s vehicle, according to a police report.



At 3:44 p.m. Dec. 2, Clifford Morgan, 102 E. Martin Luther King Dr. Apartment 1, was charged with a driver’s license violation, no liability insurance and other traffic violations, according to a police report. After police observed Morgan driving with an expired tag, it was discovered that his license was suspended and that the vehicle also had no insurance, reports said. Police found an open beer bottle on the driver’s side and an open bottle of gin, reports said. Another open bottle of Busch beer was found on the passenger side of the truck and the passenger was cited, according to a police report.



At 2:45 p.m. Dec. 3, Latisha Cantrell Smith, 2210 Copeland Mill Dr., was charged with a probation violation, a seat belt/child restraint violation and a driver’s license violation, according to a police report.



At 11:20 a.m. Dec. 2, a juvenile was charged with obstructing a law enforcement officer, terroristic threats (threat to burn) and other offenses not covered, according to a police report. The juvenile was charged at Valdosta High School for setting off the school’s fire alarm system, causing the school to evacuate. The juvenile left campus and ran from the school’s resource officer into woods behind the school.



At 11:34 p.m. Sunday, James V. DeRobert, 1503 E. Park Ave. D-1, was charged with battery and other offenses not covered, according to a police report. The victim called police and said that DeRobert punched her in the eye and took a cell phone from her and tore it in half while she was trying to call for police assistance, according to a police report.
