Publix kicks off its sixth annual Baby Fest on Feb. 26.
Stores will offer free child identification photos from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 28. When parents return to pick up their photos the following week, they will receive a Kids’ Safety Book Photo ID folder with a place for parents to fill in pertinent information about their children, including height, weight, eye and hair color.
Publix spokesman Dwaine Stevens said, “Law enforcement officials tell us that this is an extremely valuable resource for them when they are searching for a missing child.”
Customers may sign up for Publix’s Baby Club, a unique free membership program that provides coupons, gifts and information to new parents. Baby Club enrollment forms will be located on the baby products aisle.
For parents of preschoolers, Publix offers Publix Preschool Pals, a Web-based club that provides information for parents, as well as educational games for preschoolers. Membership is free and available through www.publix.com/preschool, or through the Clubs section of the Publix Web site, www.publix.com.
Publix is located in Valdosta at 1741 Gornto Road.
