Suwannee Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registration for youth flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading until Aug. 2. Six to eight-year-old boys can sign up for flag football. Boys’ tackle football age divisions include seven and eight-year-olds, nine and 10, and 11 and 12 (or 13 if the child weighs under 125 pounds). Cheerleading is open to five to 13-year-old girls.

The current registration fee will increase on July 22, so participants are encouraged to sign up now to save money. Children will need a birth certificate in order to register. The sports programs will take place at the First Federal Sportsplex, and will begin after the registration period is over in August and continue into October.
