Suwannee volleyball beats Bell

The Lady Dog volleyball team took on Bell Oct. 3 and defeated them in five matches. It was a marathon effort for the Suwannee girls and they were up to the task. Suwannee won the first game 25-21, lost the second 25-27, lost the third 16-25 but came back to win the two final games of the match 25-18 and 15-6.
Key in the win against Bell was the net-master Alex Camunas with 16 kills. Camunas also had seven service points, two of them aces and five assists.
Stephanee Skipper was the serve-master with 18 service points, five of them aces. Skipper also had two kills and 22 assists.
Jasmine Jefferson put in another good net performance with 11 kills, two service points, one of them an ace and six assists.
Lacy Smith had her serve working. Smith nailed 13 service points, seven of them aces. Smith also had two assists.
Nikki Reed continues to improve every game. Reed had 10 service points, four of them aces. Reed also had six assists.
Danielle Smith had seven service points, two of them aces. Smith also had three kills and one assist.
Shalisa Cuyler had two assists.
The JV Lady Dogs won their match against Bell’s JV. They won in three games. The JV Lady Dogs lost their first match 20-25, won the next two 25-20 and 15-12.
The Lady Dogs lost their next match to district opponent Bradford in four games Oct. 4.
