Lequesia Danyale Uddyback, 39, of Cleveland, Tenn., entered eternal rest on Jan. 20, 2014.
Lequesia was born on Dec. 28, 1974 to Johnnie and Ida Quarterman at Fort Stewart Army Hospital, Fort Stewart, Ga. She received an Associate’s Degree from Valdosta State University. She earned both her Bachelors of Science and her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Lee University, Cleveland, Tenn.
Lequesia married the love of her life, Arthur Roy Uddyback, Sr. on March 21, 1998. She was a devoted wife, mother, and a true testament of a virtuous woman (Proverbs 31:10).
Lequesia loved children. She was a Pre-K Assistant at Children’s Friend Learning Center, Valdosta, Ga., lead Pre-K teacher at Tulsa Community College Child Development Center, Tulsa, Okla. and currently worked as an inclusion teacher at Walker Valley High School, Cleveland, Tenn. She was an active member of North Cleveland Church of God where she worked with special needs children.
To meet her at the gates of Heaven is her daughter Amari Kauai Ida Uddyback.
To cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Arthur Roy Uddyback, Sr., Cleveland, Tenn.; her children, Audrianna Uddyback, Cleveland, Tenn., Arthur Roy Uddyback, Jr., Valdosta, Ga., Alexandria Williams, Valdosta, Ga., Aaron Uddyback, Cleveland, Tenn.; loving parents Bishop Johnnie and Ida Quarterman, Valdosta, Ga.; grandparents, John and Ethel Holmes, Midway, Ga.; three best friends and sisters, Sharon Quarterman, Midway, Ga., Tasha (Myron) Allen, Ellenwood, Ga., Tramaine Quarterman, Atlanta, Ga.; two adorable grandchildren, Adyson Taylor and Aaidyn Uddyback; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue (Dwight) McDougal, Cottrelle Hunter, June Burgman, Cleveland Adkins, Helon (Sam) Roberson, Richard (Sylvia) Uddyback, Lawanna Sims; nieces and nephews she helped to raise, Lateia, Jasmine, Xavier, Danyala, and Madison; a host of aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, nephews, friends, and special friends Rita Ready, Ms. Kathy Blocker and Wendy Hammer.
Celebration of life services will be held at The Dixon Chapel of North Cleveland Church of God 335 11th Street NE, Cleveland, TN 37323 on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. Final glance will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 11 a.m.-12:50 p.m. Burial will take place on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at the family cemetery across from 1235 Isle of Wight Road, Midway, GA 31320 at 1 p.m. Cards or flowers may be sent to 1283 Isle of Wight Road, Midway, GA 31320. — Companion Funeral Home, Cleveland, Tenn.
