Home burglary in area

The home of Raymond H. and Rebecca Bradley located at 26873 45th Road, Branford was broken into on Sunday, Feb. 6 and according to Mrs. Bradley more than $2,000 in guns and ammunition was stolen.

Mrs. Bradley told the News, she and her husband left home that morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. to go to church and afterwards went to, the home of her husbands parents Wilson and Christine Bradley, to eat lunch. The couple returned home at 3:20 to find their back door had been opened with a tool, and a total of six guns including pistols were missing, along with ammunition. According to Mrs. Bradley there were other guns in the home that were not bothered. Taken from the home was a Remington 12 gauge shotgun; on older model sawed off single shot shotgun; one Remington 306 rifle, and the pistols.

Immediately after discovering the theft the Bradley’s called the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office who dispatched Deputy David Poole to the scene.

A report from SCSO confirmed the information given the News, by Mrs. Bradley.

According to the sheriff’s report across from the home is a cow pasture and on either side is planted pine trees. No visible finger prints were found. Tire tracks were found on the lawn but they were on grass and no design or print was visible.

According to the SCSO report the Bradley’s had serial numbers for the guns and was to furnish them with a list.

Mrs. Bradley told the News her mother and father in law are not in good health and she often cooks a meal and the two couples eat together, as they had done on the day of the burglary.

Mrs. Bradley told the News on Tuesday, “as far as we can tell nothing else is missing.”
