William Patrick ‘Bill’ Crawford Jr.
ATLANTA — William Patrick “Bill” Crawford, Jr., 53, of Atlanta died on Thursday, May 30, 2002, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 17, 1948, in Hamilton County, Tenn. to William Patrick and Mary Taylor Crawford. He was a a graduate of University of Tennessee; a pharmaceutical biotech sales representative with Genzyme Corp. ; and a retired SSGT. in the National Guard with 21 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Judy Browning Crawford of Atlanta; two daughters, Katherine Crawford and Taylor Crawford, both of Atlanta; two sons, William Patrick Ryan, Bellingham, Wash., Jason Patrick Crawford of Columbus. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Cain, Pastor of Grace Church in Douglasville, Ga. officiating. Burial will be held in Westview Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. this evening at Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville. Ryan Thomas Elmore
CANTON, N.Y. — Ryan Thomas Elmore, 26, of Canton, N.Y. and formerly of Valdosta died on May 26, 2002. He was born on Dec. 24, 1975, in Seoul Korea to Thomas Clair Elmore, Jr. and Nancy Lou Trueblood Elmore of Valdosta. He was employed by the college in the maintenance department in New York and was of the Church of Christ faith. He is survived by his parents; a sister, Rebecca Rose Elmore of Douglas; maternal grandmother, Mary Trueblood of Spencer, Ind.; aunts and uncles, Ray and Shirley Harvey of Marion, N.Y., Judy and Chuck Bain of Spencer, Ind. and Bill Trueblood of Delphi, Ind. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Mr. James Colwell officiating. Ruth W. Lindsey
Mrs. Ruth W. Lindsey, 68, 702, Newton Drive, Adel, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2002, at the Chapel of Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al Lewis and the Rev. Craig Hutto officiating. Interment is at Lenox City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on South 41 from 7-9 p.m. today. Mrs. Lindsey was born July 27, 1933, in Centre, Ala., to Oliver and Vela Mae Barnes Waddell, both of whom preceded her in death. She lived in Cook County for 34 years and was a member of Lenox Methodist Church. She retired from the hardware business in 1992 and was a homemaker. Survivors are her husband, Ralph G. Lindsey, Adel; a son and daughter-in-law, Ted L. and Joyann Lindsey, Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Snuffy Smith, Sparks; a brother-in-law, Gail W. and Roby H. Robinson, Adel; a nephew, Jimmy Waddell, McAlester, Okla.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by a brother, J. Juanita Nettles
VALDOSTA — Mrs. Juanita Nettles, 74, of Valdosta passed away May 28, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Nettles was born on Oct. 1, 1927, in Madison, Fla., to the union of the late Rosa Mae Frazier and E.G. George. She leaves to mourn her passing; her husband of 48 years, Ivery Nettles of Valdosta; one daughter, Evelyn Y. Hampton of Valdosta; one son-in-law, Marvin Hampton; one brother-in-law, Ceasor Nettles, Valdosta; five granddaughters, Patreccie Rivera (Hector Rivera), Valdosta, Tara Hampton, Jacksonville, Fla., Tamika Robinson, Valdosta, NaTashia Robinson, Fayetteville, N.C., and Tamara Townsend Fayetteville, N.C.; and four great- grandchildren; several cousins; and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Nettles will be cremated and memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Lee Street Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Shimon Taylor is pastor and will o
