Vanessa Telecia Burgman Williams, 47, of Valdosta, Ga., died on Monday, July 14, 2014.  Vanessa was born in Valdosta, Ga.,  on Oct. 23, 1966 and resided in Valdosta, Ga., all of her life.  She was a faithful member of South Side Church of Christ in Valdosta.

Vanessa was educated in the Valdosta Public School System. She graduated from Valdosta High School in 1984. Vanessa loved working with children. One of the places she enjoyed working was at Lomax Coastal Plains Day Care Center.  She also loved working with Mrs. Irene Miller during the “summer programs” for children.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents: James and Nancy Burgman and one brother, Clifford Woods.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Wallace Williams of Valdosta; four sisters: Gwendolyn (Henry) Jefferson of Beltsville, Md., Carolyn (Henry) Calhoun of Valdosta, Dr. Lusharon Wiley of Pensacola, Fla., and Cathy Folsome of Valdosta; four brothers, Demetrius (Eloise) Woods of  Byron, Ga., James (Jacqueline) Burgman of Valdosta,  Timothy Burgman of Valdosta,  and Jeffrey (Brenda) Burgman of Atlanta; one aunt, Yvonne (James) Scott of Chester Springs, Pa.; one sister-in-law: Cynthia Young of Miami, Fla.; special cousins, Darthula Henderson and Yvette Miller of Valdosta; four special friends,  Felisha Holmes, Irene Miller, Ernestine Shiver and Maggie Pearl Woods, all of Valdosta; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Mrs. Vanessa Telecia Burgman Williams will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 1 p.m., from the sanctuary of Southside Church of Christ, 1198 Old Statenville Rd, Valdosta, Ga. Bro. John W. Iverson is the minister. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Valdosta, Ga. Public viewing will be held today, July 18, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
