Say no to bigger government, get to the Lake Park hearing and oppose the tax increase. We need politicians that cut wasteful spending, not increase it. How about stop paying $5,000 per year on fireworks that go bang with your bucks? Yes, your tax dollars pay for that wasteful spending! That should be illegal, at every level. No parks, swings, slides, or picnic tables for year-round use anywhere in the city, but a big bang once year — not good enough!

What’s up with all these politicians who want to raise taxes? I won’t vote for a single one of them again! Vote to raise taxes, and don’t expect a vote in the next election. Cut your budgets and wasteful spending!

Having lived in Valdosta my whole life, I always appreciated how the citizens welcomed new residents. But now anytime someone has any criticism, they are told to just go somewhere else. Which is ironic since the declining population was such a grave concern. The other option is to get rid of Rant and Rave. This would complete the move to “Happy” news.

I was shopping at a kids sale Sunday. Rave for a mother and her children shopping for school. The children were so quiet and waiting patiently in turn to purchase their sale. I was so touched seeing the family together and the love they had for each other. To the mother, you have raised this family well and should be very proud.

We the people and us the taxpayers. What are you living in the dark ages?

Grow up! The stadium is only a material thing and that material thing is also in a very crowded situation, so it should be on the outskirts of town.

For those of you complaining about having to go during the day to get your kid set up for school remember the schools are normally open during the day. Why should they change their schedule for you? Should have thought about that before you had kids.

Never more prideful a man than one who will not allow himself to be passed. If you are obviously driving 10 miles under the speed limit and I lawfully attempt to pass, no reason to speed up to 85 so I can’t. There is a reasonable medium, it’s called the speed limit. Maybe pay attention to it instead of going 10 under or 30 over.

The worst gossipers are the ones that don’t see themselves as one. If you gossip about my life , then you probably don’t have one of your own.
