Shattered window, drops of blood lead police to charge Valdosta woman with burglary

VALDOSTA — A broken window and drops of blood were wrapped up in a burglary attempt Tuesday night, police said.
Around 10 p.m., officers headed to a store in the 2000 block of Marion Street on a burglary alarm, a Valdosta Police Department statement said.
Police found a shattered window and drops of blood nearby.
Officers then found a 27-year-old Valdosta woman nearby with bleeding cuts on her leg; in a bag she was carrying, they found property belonging to the store.
She was treated at the hospital, arrested and charged with felony burglary second degree, misdemeanor providing false name and date of birth, and misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects, police said.
