Mike and Rebecca White of Valdosta are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara White to Edward Register, son of Dewayne Register and the late Clara Register of Lakeland, Ga.

The wedding is planned for March 21, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Lake Park Chapel and Clubhouse in Lake Park, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ola Faye Gordon and the late Rudolph Gordon of Oakdale, La., and Rose Kennedy and the late Ace Kennedy of Russellville, Ark.

The bride-elect received her Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and her Basic Peace Officer Certification from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Tifton, Ga. She is employed with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Eloise and Eli Register of Dupont, Ga., and the late Faye and Charlie Wiggins of Lakeland, Ga. He is employed with the Echols County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy.
