Queenie Scott Udell, a resident of White Springs, Fla., passed away Feb. 11, 2015.

Queenie Scott Udell is survived by her nephew/Godson Lawrence Udell and wife Jeanette; four brothers: Willie James (Dorothy) Scott, Robert Scott, Benjamin Scott, and Ben (Alene) Johnson; four sisters: Genva Smith, Jeraline Saulberry, Lois (James) Glenn, Doris (Joseph) Jacobs; sister-in-law: Minister Rosa Scott and a host of nieces, nephews, great, great nieces, great, great nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services for Queenie Scott Udell will be Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Sweet Home Baptist Church in White Springs, Florida.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, in Sweet Home Baptist Church from 5-7 p.m.

Burial will be in the Swift Creek Cemetery in White Springs, Florida.

Roy Mattox Jr.

Dec. 16, 1964 – Feb. 14, 2015

Roy Mattox Jr., age 50, of Jennings, Fla., passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, from injuries sustained in a house fire.

Roy was born in Stuttgart, Germany on Dec. 16, 1964, to the late Albert Roy and Violet Ann Eddins Mattox. He and his wife Jennifer moved to Hamilton County some 15 years ago from Ft. Myers, Fla.

Roy was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Ann Allen.

Mattox was a longtime quadriplegic and today the family finds comfort in the thought that on Saturday Roy was once again able to run to his daughter and together they danced holding each other and dancing with renewed strength.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jennifer Whidden Mattox, Jennings, Fla..; one brother, Jeffrey Mattox (Susan) and a sister, Janet L. Mattox, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Crystal Whidden of Jennings; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bridgette and Poly Barraza; several nieces and nephews.

Per his request, Roy will be cremated.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
