Three Rivers Regional Library System hosted a camellia grafting class in Mayo on Monday, Jan. 26. The class was taught by Abe and Diane Whitfeild from Turkey Roost Nursery in Perry. During the class, students learned definitions that relate to grafting, different types of grafts and the steps taken for grafting camellias. Once the students went over the proper ways to graft and air layer, they were able to get hands on with the plants.
