Mr. and Mrs. Randall Jones Minor of Valdosta  announce the engagement of their daughter,  Cady Lynn Minor of Valdosta, to Carter McCorvey Karras of Birmingham, Ala., son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Alan Karras of Valdosta.

The wedding is planned to be held  at 5:30 p.m.  May 30, 2015 at Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Valdosta. The couple will  celebrate following the ceremony at  The Dixie House  at the Old Stewart Place in Dixie, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Howell Chason and the late Mr. Charles Woods Callahan, and Mrs. Catharine McKinnon Minor and the late Dr. Henry Woodfin Minor, Jr., all of Valdosta.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Valwood School in Valdosta. She graduated from Auburn University in 2013, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of  Science in Communication Disorders, and will graduate from Auburn University in May of 2015 with a Master of Communication Disorders.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Clifford McCorvey and the late Mrs. Myrtice Kirkland McCorvey of Nashville, Ga., and  Mr. and Mrs. James Karras of Nashville, Ga., and the late Mrs. Margaret McMillan Karras.  

 The groom-elect is a 2009 graduate of Valwood School in Valdosta. He graduated from Auburn University in 2013, cum laude,  with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accountancy and from Auburn University in 2014 with a Master of Accountancy. He is employed as an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Birmingham, Ala.
