Mr. and  Mrs. William Dorney of Raleigh, N.C.,  announce the engagement of their daughter,

Sharyn, to David Norwood, son of the late Mr. Joel Norwood and the late Mrs. Frances Williams of Valdosta, Ga.

Sharyn is a graduate of Ocean City High School in N.J., and Penn State University, and is a Sr. Principal Consultant at Oracle.

David is a graduate of Lowndes County High School, Valdosta, Ga., and Southern Polytechnic State University, and is the State Scheduling Engineer at the Georgia Department of Transportation.

David and Sharyn plan to marry in April 2016, in their hometown of Atlanta, Ga.
