Marvin Edwin O’Neal, 83, of Nashville, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Berrien Nursing Center.

He was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Tift County to the late William Benjamin “W.B.” O’Neal and the late Ida Belle Owens O’Neal. He retired as MSGT with the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service where he worked as a quality control jet engine mechanic and also served in Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Moody Masonic Lodge No. 719.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Carter; and a brother, Gene O’Neal.

He is survived by his wife, Eldora Flancher O’Neal of Nashville; two daughters, Brenda (Randy) McCorvey of Nashville and Donna Bell of Nashville; three sons, Steve (Ruth) O’Neal of Nashville, Tim (Pam) O’Neal of Hahira and Don (Sharon) O’Neal of Hahira; sister, Gladys (Ronnie) Greer of Americus; 12 grandchildren, Kristi, Steven, Jenny, Derek, Jake, Jason, Chad, Daniel, Hollie, Kristifer, Anna Grace and Caleb; seven great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott King officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today.
