DMV office closed Saturday
The Driver’s License Division of the Department of Public Safety will be closed Saturday for Labor Day holidays. The office reopens Tuesday.

VHS holds fund-raiser for learning exchange
Valdosta High School’s British International Service Learning Exchange will conduct a fund-raiser from 5-9 p.m. today at Moe’s Southwestern Grill, 1525 Baytree Road.
On. Jan. 6, a group of students from Brightling Sea, England, will arrive in Valdosta and stay until Jan. 16. While the group is here, they will participate in service learning activities in the city.
On June 1, VHS students will travel to Brightling Sea.

Benefit account set up for accident victim
A benefit account has been set up at Park Avenue Bank for the victim of a severe traffic accident.
Kenny Jernigan remains in a coma at Archbold Memorial Hospital following his accident on Aug. 23. To help defray medical expenses, you may donate at Park Avenue Bank’s locations.
